PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tTo manage, plan and execute all geometric and volumetric surveying activities on assigned projects from commencement through to completion. The role also assists with surveying requirements at Fraser\u2019s tailings operations by ensuring accurate data collection and documentation, thereby contributing to the overall accuracy, compliance and efficiency of tailings facility operations.<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Contract Administration, Reporting and Document Management<\/p>\n
\tPrepare clear and concise survey reports.
\n\tPrepare assessment and evaluation of reports and attend meetings as required.
\n\tConduct research on existing records, including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents.
\n\tMaintain accurate field data records, survey project files and drawings.
\n\tPrepare, organise and present all data, charts, plots, maps, records and documents related to survey projects.
\n\tIdentify procedural gaps, and support procedure(s) development and implementation.<\/p>\n
Surveying<\/p>\n
\tUse modern surveying equipment and software to collect and process field data accurately.
\n\tAssist in resolving on-site discrepancies and provide recommendations for adjustments based on survey results.
\n\tInstrument Maintenance
\n\tEnsure all surveying equipment is calibrated, maintained and functioning correctly.
\n\tTransport and store equipment safely.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma or B Tech in Surveying
\n\tProfessional registration i.e. SAGC (PLATO) would be advantageous<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMinimum four years related experience
\n\tInstrumentation knowledge\/experience in trimble RTK GPS, trimble access software, trimble total station, auto level electronic level
\n\tKnowledge and skill in conducting volumetric calculations, control (GCP) establishment, surveys on tailings dams such as (beach, pond, freeboard)
\n\tUAV (commercial drone) surveying experience would be advantageous<\/p>\n

\n\tKnowledge of land laws, regulations and construction codes
\n\tUnderstanding of surveying (or quantity surveying) fundamentals standards and procedures within the mining or mineral residue disposal (tailings dam) context<\/p>\n
