Description<\/p>\n
\tConduct field research and trials related to tropical and sub-tropical crops postharvest activities and sweet potato product development.
\n\tEngage with project team members within the project.
\n\tOperate and maintain laboratory equipment; perform basic laboratory tests and record experimental data accurately.
\n\tAbility to work for extended time periods in the laboratory and field environment.
\n\tCollect, capture and process materials for laboratory analysis and agro-processing activities.
\n\tAssist with postharvest and agro-processing operations, including sweet potato product development, fruit pulping, drying, juicing, and product preservation.
\n\tCompile verbal and written reports detailing methodologies, activities, and research findings for supervisors and project lead.
\n\tContribute towards the dissemination of outcomes through presentations and publications.
\n\tEnsure compliance with the applicable OHS, GMP and Food Safety policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBSc degree or BTech or Advanced Diploma in Food Science and Technology\/ Post harvest\/ Plant Production\/ Crop Sciences\/ Agriculture or any other relevant qualification.
\n\tCandidate to register for Honours degree or Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant qualification.
\n\tGood verbal and written communication skills.
\n\tAbility to learn new skills in the laboratory.
\n\tAdvanced Computer Literacy.<\/p>\n
