\tBidvest Tank Terminals has an opportunity for an Expeditor. This opportunity exists within the Procurement Department, based in Head Office, reporting to the Buyer. The candidate must meet the following minimum criteria.
\n\tTo support the Buyer in all Procurement related activities for goods and services as required by the company.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tA relevant tertiary qualification in Purchasing \/ Supply Chain Management
\n\tExperience in procurement and expediting activities (preferably in petro-chemical industry)
\n\tGood working knowledge of SAP MM module will advantageous<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupport the Buyer in all sourcing and purchasing related activities
\n\tPlace and expedite purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of all goods and services
\n\tFollow up with suppliers, as needed for RFQ’s and PO acknowledgement
\n\tLiaise with stores staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
\n\tReport the delivery performance of purchase orders timeously
\n\tEffectively communicate any delays in PO delivery date to key stakeholders
\n\tReport on the Overdue PO status
\n\tIdentify Cost saving and cost avoidance opportunities
\n\tSupport with procurement policy & process development & reviews<\/p>\n
