\tMy client (FMCG) based in Durban is seeking an experienced and hands-on Millwright.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tTo conduct maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment, safely, in order to ensure plant availability and reliability.<\/p>\n
MAIN TASKS INCLUDE:<\/p>\n
\tAttend to all mechanical, instrumentation and electrical breakdowns.
\n\tConduct regular inspections of equipment.
\n\tFault-find and problem-solve on equipment.
\n\tConduct regular maintenance and repair of equipment.
\n\tReport on conditions of equipment, advise management of electrical and mechanical problems and recommend activities to minimize the number of breakdowns.
\n\tInterpret deviations recorded and rectify accordingly.
\n\tPerform preventative and corrective maintenance activities as per Plant Safety Regulations, preventative maintenance plans and maintenance procedure.
\n\tInvestigate and analyse cause and effect of breakdowns on equipment
\n\tUnderstand basic hydraulics, pneumatics and lubrication.
\n\tCarry out basic rigging and assist stage crew where necessary.
\n\tEnsure all supporting documentation is completed within the required timeframes and in the format specified (Job card Completion and other related paperwork).
\n\tAnalyse proposed modifications and provide input regards the implementation of ideas and carry out modifications within the required timeframes.
\n\tTroubleshoot on DCS, PLC’s and (AC and DC) drives.
\n\tIdentify where quality and safety can be improved.
\n\tParticipate in improvement programmes and initiatives.
\n\tMaintain safe work environment.
\n\tComply with relevant company policies, legislative requirements and standards.
\n\tEnsure quality standards are maintained and customer requirements are addressed.
\n\tAttend to equipment care and personal safety.
\n\tRead, interpret and understand electrical and basic mechanical drawings.
\n\tPromote environmental and safety awareness regarding the potential impact of activities, process and materials utilized.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tMillwright Trade Certificate
\n\tN3 Engineering Studies
\n\tSenior \/ Matric Certificate<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 2 Years’ experience as a Millwright post Apprenticeship.<\/p>\n
Skills:<\/p>\n
\tFault-finding and problem-solving skills, safety and quality conscious, delivering and meeting customer requirements, coordination and coaching skills, ability to work independently and function well within a team.<\/p>\n
Physical Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMust be able to see colour in order to be able to distinguish colour coded wiring etc.
\n\tPhysically fit in order to be able to walk for long periods of time, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, squat, and kneel, and stand<\/p>\n
Knowledge:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of the OHS Act (safety legislation) is essential.<\/p>\n
REMUNERATION:<\/p>\n
Salary:<\/p>\n
\tR260,000 – R455,000 CTC<\/p>\n
