Main purpose of the job:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable National Dietician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing dietetic food services within the hospital kitchen in collaboration with the Manager, as well as overseeing all Health and Safety Audits.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Desirable education and experience:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
\n\tAt least 3 years relevant experience
\n\tPrevious Dietetics experience within a hospital environment is advantageous
\n\tExperience in hygiene control
\n\tExperience in menu analysis
\n\tExperience in therapeutic diets
\n\tComputer literate (MS Office)<\/p>\n
Knowledge, skills and competencies:<\/p>\n
\tGood knowledge of catering practices within a hospital environment
\n\tExcellent communication skills at all levels
\n\tGood presentation skills
\n\tProblem solving
\n\tMulti-lingual, advantageous
\n\tAbility to conduct on the job training with staff
\n\tProfessionalism
\n\tReliable, dependable
\n\tCreative Flair
\n\tExcellent customer services skills<\/p>\n
Key areas of responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tMonitor and manage hygiene control, menu analysis and therapeutic diets
\n\tMonitor, uphold and manage hygiene standards at all times
\n\tAdvise Catering Teams on nutritional principles
\n\tAdvise teams with regards menu planning
\n\tAdvise teams with regards dietary plans and diet modifications
\n\tAdvise teams with regards food selection, food preparation and food quality
\n\tConsult with Clinical Dieticians and Medical team to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients
\n\tEnsure dietary norms are met
\n\tAbility to work independently and travel to multiple locations within the region
\n\tValid Driver’s license and reliable vehicle\u00a0<\/p>\n
