PRIMARY JOB DUTIES<\/p>\n
You will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tLeading a team to deliver the Household Care Liquids program for Southern Africa
\n\tDemonstrated ability to grow future talent – Managing people\u2019s development & career plans and coaching.
\n\tBusiness partnering with Marketing, Supply Chain and other R&D groups and suppliers to shape, influence and land the liquids R&D program for Southern Africa
\n\tFormulate products that meet our performance and authenticity standards and ensure that products are delivered on-time and within budget while meeting all consumer and technical objectives
\n\tProduct qualification including signing off on all validation testing.
\n\tSign-off on all product specifications
\n\tWork with consumer insights partners to ensure that product technologies are showcased in an impactful way
\n\tLeading the large, technically complex projects (both innovations and savings initiatives)
\n\tStaying abreast of technical developments and regulatory updates in the homecare category
\n\tDevelop and maintain relationships with existing and potential raw material suppliers.
\n\tCommit to personal development and professional growth by actively participating in personal development initiatives and applying developmental thinking within the context of planning and executing work.
\n\tMaintaining safety and GLP in labs and pilot plants
\n\tPerform other tasks as may be required by Research & Development in the fulfilment of its objectives<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tTechnical education: BS in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Chemical Engineering
\n\t8 years experience in R&D and\/or Unilever Supply Chain with minimum 3 years managerial experience in Formulation Development or Technical Product Management preferably in a consumer products goods company; more preferably in-Home Care Development
\n\tExperience of complex Project management
\n\tEvidence of connecting with global partners to deliver a program\/projects.
\n\tConsistent performance and demonstrated R&D expertise. CTI Experience beneficial.
\n\tStrong business acumen
\n\tPassion and strong alignment with Unilever\u2019s Vision and Values
\n\tStrong problem solving and organizational skills and proven ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
\n\tDemonstration of holding people accountable, impact and influence
\n\tStrong growth mindset<\/p>\n
