\tTo conduct investigation and enforcement activities on radio frequency spectrum users in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors to ensure compliance with the ICASA Act and its underlying statutes and resolve or mitigate harmful interference complaints.<\/p>\n
Key Outputs: : The successful candidate will report to the Regional Manager: KwaZulu-Natal and their responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n
\tExecuting duties of the inspector by monitoring compliance by licensees with license terms and conditions, license exemptions and by investigating and evaluating any alleged or suspected non-compliance by licensees
\n\tConducting Radio Frequency Interference Investigations
\n\tConducting high site investigations
\n\tRadio monitoring Monitoring compliance to Spectrum License terms and conditions
\n\tMonitoring compliance to Electronic Communications Network Service licenses
\n\tMonitoring compliance to Broadcasting Frequency License Terms and Conditions
\n\tParticipating in NATJOC\/ PROVJOC events which includes taking enforcement action during such events
\n\tPerforming and\/or assisting with other duties, tasks and AD-Hoc projects as requested or assigned by the Regional Manager in line with the ICASA mandate and objectives.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tThree-year National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) \u2013 NQF Level 6 BSc or BTech or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Information Engineering) (NQF Level 7\/8) is advantageous 2 to 5 years relevant work experience in a radio frequency environment within Telecommunications Radio frequency interference investigation experience (added advantage) Practical experience with electronic communications systems testing and\/or monitoring equipment (added advantage) Computer literacy\/ Proficiency in Microsoft Office \u00a0Non-endorsed driver’s license.<\/p>\n
