As our Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you’ll be at the helm of our distribution centre, overseeing stock, fleet, and the smooth sailing of deliveries to ensure our pet products reach customers on time, every time. Think of it as orchestrating a symphony of wagging tails and happy customers, all while keeping costs in check and maintaining top-tier safety standards.<\/p>\n
What you\u2019ll be doing:<\/p>\n
Distribution & Planning:<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with the Route Planner to create the most cost-effective delivery routes. Track how well we’re doing and refine for maximum efficiency.
\n\tCommunicate with Sales and customers like a logistics whisperer, updating them on deliveries, delays, and ways to improve our service.
\n\tKeep track of open orders and implement foolproof plans to ensure they’re delivered on time, every time.
\n\tReinforce control measures for proof of delivery (POD) tracking \u2014 no more \u201cwhere’s the delivery slip?\u201d moments!
\n\tKeep all admin and filing up to date, so no box gets left behind (literally or figuratively).
\n\tMonitor staff efficiency, ensuring the team is as agile as a Border Collie on a mission.
\n\tEnsure compliance with Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety standards because we care about our team and customers.<\/p>\n
Stock Management:<\/p>\n
\tMake stock receiving and storage practices run like clockwork. Spot-check deliveries, monitor discrepancies, and handle overstock with finesse.
\n\tEnforce stock rotation practices like FIEFO \u2014 first expiry, first out (we\u2019re all about fairness, especially for our products).
\n\tConduct regular stock counts with accuracy and precision.
\n\tInvestigate stock variances like a detective on the case.
\n\tOrganise full stock counts to keep everything in order and minimise those pesky variances.
\n\tKeep returns procedures smooth and seamless. Yes, even the “boomerang” stock.<\/p>\n
Administration:<\/p>\n
\tKeep your admin skills sharp, ensuring credit notes are accurate and on time.
\n\tKeep the records up to date and report on warehouse performance like the logistics wizard you are.
\n\tMonitor warehouse and distribution costs to ensure we stay within budget (yes, we like to keep our wagons loaded efficiently).<\/p>\n
Fleet Management:<\/p>\n
\tOversee fleet administration: refuelling, maintenance, and keeping our vehicles running as smoothly as a Greyhound on a racetrack.

Job Requirements
\nThe Must-Haves:<\/p>\n
\tGo-getter attitude, someone that thrives on continuous improvement
\n\tSomeone that can drive performance through their teams
\n\tA certificate or diploma in Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field
\n\tSomeone with 5+ years of experience managing a warehouse or distribution centre
\n\t3 years of proven experience managing people (because team spirit is everything!).
\n\tA valid driver\u2019s licence and your own wheels (we\u2019re all about that mobility)
\n\tProficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel skills are a bonus!)
\n\tFamiliarity with ERP systems
\n\tKnowledge of the geographical area and our customer base \u2013 because knowing the lay of the land helps us go the extra mile<\/p>\n
