Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tNumerical Literacy is essential in this role
\n\tA degree in Agriculture is greatly valued and beneficial.
\n\tMinimum of 3 – 5 years\u2019 experience in the area of Rearing \/Laying
\n\tExperience in a similar supervisory role will be greatly beneficial
\n\tA good understanding of modern farming methods, and a commitment to animal welfare
\n\tAbility to apply and implement the basics of poultry effectively on site in conjuction with company SOP’s
\n\tComputer skills in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word) would be advantageous.
\n\tCapability to analyse operational reports and data and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
\n\tProficiency in English (Verbal & Written) is essential in this role.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tEffective management of the site which includes but not limited to:
\n\tRecord keeping and reporting to Manager (mortalities, egg collection sheets, daily stats, water consumptions, feed orders, etc.) on a daily basis.
\n\tEnsure that the assets and installations are maintained and in good order, thorough knowledge of function \/ tasks \/ equipment.
\n\tEnsuring livestock is treated humanely, and in compliance with company standards (monitoring feedings, spillages, report deviations, vaccinations)
\n\tCoaching and monitoring employees to help them develop clear understanding of standards\/requirements relating to Animal Welfare, Food Safety and Quality.
\n\tTraining staff as per schedule
\n\tPlanning daily work activities and organising duties on site
\n\tEffective communication
\n\tDecision making within authority level and company procedures
\n\tTime management on site as well as guiding others to manage their time effectively
\n\tManaging IR\/ HR matters of site
\n\tEnsuring the site complies with Health & Safety regulations<\/p>\n
