\tParts Incorporated Africa\u00a0is searching for a\u00a0Warehouse Manager\u00a0to join the team in\u00a0Bloemfontein.The purpose of this position is to oversee picking, storage, receiving, despatching, security, maintenance, and administrative functions.
\n\tWarehouse Managers will hold a strategic role and deal with planning, co-ordinating, administration and general management issues including the management of staff and Team Leaders.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Indicators includes, but not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement stock control policies and ensure stock control policies are followed as per Standard Operating Procedures.
\n\tManaging the reconciliation of stock, monitor and report stock variances.
\n\tEnsuring that the warehouse is operating effectively.
\n\tMonitoring daily stock counts, identifying problems, shortages in shipments etc, investigating and taking corrective action thereon.
\n\tAccounting for stock losses and ensuring effective controls are implemented to prevent stock theft.
\n\tEnsure turnaround and lead times are adhered to by constantly monitoring performance by addressing and reporting poor performance.
\n\tEnsure proper management of inbound parts as well as unpacking, checking of products.
\n\tResponsible to oversee the distribution of stock as per allocation.
\n\tEnsure shipments are received, checked, allocated and distributed to branches within the prescribed time frame.
\n\tEnsure proper management is in place to handle all items returned for credit (RFC\u2019s) daily.
\n\tManage parts returned to suppliers, ensuring that it takes place at least once a week.
\n\tResponsible for staff time off and scheduling.
\n\tResponsible for learning and development of staff.
\n\tOversight and enforcement of discipline on warehouse floor.<\/p>\n

\tProvide leadership and guidance to direct reports when required at Warehouse.
\n\tEvaluate performance of direct reports by conducting performance reviews.
\n\tEnsuring that all processes, procedures and working conditions fall within legal requirements.
\n\tDefine warehouse goals and objectives along with methods and measurements to achieve such goals.
\n\tDevelop subordinates in all facets of warehouse functions.
\n\tEnsure supervision of the drivers, vehicle maintenance and distribution routes.
\n\tManage Branch Security and Personnel.
\n\tEnsure Gemba Board adherence and that meetings are conducted regularly.
\n\tEnsure Policy adherence and compliance of BSOP.
\n\tImplement and oversee Health & Safety Regulations and compliance.<\/p>\n
Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills<\/p>\n
\tMinimum Grade 12 qualification.
\n\tTertiary qualification in warehouse\/logistics- desirable.\u202f
\n\t3-5 years\u2019 experience in warehouse, automotive industry- Essential
\n\tMust have previous Warehouse Supervisor experience.
\n\tManagement skills: planning and prioritizing the work of others, controlling projects.
\n\tClearly assigning responsibility for tasks and decisions.
\n\tSetting clear objectives and measures.
\n\tMonitoring process, progress, and results.
\n\tShow ability to understand and grasp issues that arise in the warehouse and to be able to come up with solutions that meet the Regional Operations Manager \/ Branch Manager\u2019s expectations.
\n\tMust have a good understanding of all the legislation, example the Health and Safety Act, Labour Relations Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment act, the Employment Equity Act etc.
\n\tMust have a good understanding of warehouse and logistics management and have a \u201chands on\u201d operating style.
\n\tStrongly Computer literate
\n\tDecision making skills: initiate actions, take decisions, make recommendations in the warehouse.
\n\tNegotiating skills: can negotiate skilfully in difficult situations with internal and external groups. Can settle differences. Can win concessions without damaging relationships. Can be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic.
\n\tBusiness acumen: know how business work. Knowledgeable in current warehouse and logistics practices, trends and information affecting the organization.
\n\tUnderstanding and ability to communicate effectively and conduct business in an appropriate professional business manner.
\n\tAbility to work with management effectively and co-operatively.
\n\tExcellent problem solving and analytical skills.
\n\tResponsible for employee\u2019s well-being.
