\tWe are looking for an experienced maintenance assistant to oversee general building checks daily and general maintenance of our offices in Durban.<\/p>\n
Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with monitoring UPS\u2019s, HVAC system and Generator \u2013 general skill.
\n\tCompleting minor repair work.
\n\tRepairing doors, locks, door frames and handles.
\n\tReplacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass.
\n\tPerforming basic plumbing tasks, which includes unblocking drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
\n\tOperating of power tools, drill, grinder etc.
\n\tHandling of hand tools, maintaining toolbox
\n\tPreparing workspaces, cleaning of work area and equipment
\n\tInstallation of appliances, microwaves, kettles etc.
\n\tInstallation of TV\u2019s mounting of shelves, white boards, picture frames etc.
\n\tAble to perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technical skill.
\n\tMust have good numerical, writing skills and must be converse well in English.
\n\tGeneral understanding of Occupational Health and safety regulations.
\n\tSet up and break down of advisor\/training desk<\/p>\n
Essential Skills:<\/p>\n
\tGood interpersonal skills
\n\tExperience within an admin function, to include general office duties
\n\tEffective written and verbal communication skills
\n\tAttention to detail
\n\tExcellent multi-tasking ability
\n\tProven experience as maintenance assistant or similar role
\n\tGeneral knowledge of all building systems (electrical, plumbing etc.)
\n\tKnowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
\n\tAn eye for detail.
\n\tCompetent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\tHigh school \/ life skills.
\n\tPhysically fit
\n\tBe able to commute to and from the workplace
\n\tTo be able to work overtime when required.<\/p>\n
