{"id":29981,"date":"2026-02-17T14:00:40","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T14:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/regional-sales-manager-payroll-accountant\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T00:24:33","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T00:24:33","slug":"regional-sales-manager-payroll-accountant","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=29981","title":{"rendered":"Regional Sales Manager \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Payroll Accountant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Purpose<\/p>\n<p>\tTo develop and execute the Vector Business and Principals execution requirements including sales goals, shelf health and people management within the region. \u00a0<br \/>\n\tTo provide tactical and operational leadership and support to the regional sales team.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Sales Management:<\/p>\n<p>\tExecute the National Sales strategy.<br \/>\n\tDevelop in-store activations to drive sales.<br \/>\n\tManage and monitor strategic target achievement for region.<br \/>\n\tAttend national meetings are required.<br \/>\n\tDrive the implementation of the pricing strategy and practices.<br \/>\n\tDevelop key internal relationships in various functional areas and at various levels with Principals (NAM\u2019s); Operations Managers; Buyers and Franchisee Owners.<br \/>\n\tReport on regional competitor activity and performance.<br \/>\n\tDevelop, implement and manage regional sales objectives.<br \/>\n\tConstantly analyze statistics regarding the number of sales made in a given time period.<br \/>\n\tDrive the achievement of applicable strategic and operational targets. (cycle and monthly)<br \/>\n\tExecute Principals sales team promotional activities across the region and report.<br \/>\n\tDrive the achievement of regional sales budgets in terms of volumes.<\/p>\n<p>Customer Relationship Management:<\/p>\n<p>\tMaintain and expand the customer base by building and maintaining good relationships with key customers and recognizing new customer opportunities.<br \/>\n\tUnderstand key customers\u2019 in-store processes as well as their requirements and trends; and ensure adherence to processes.<br \/>\n\tGather regional market intelligence on national accounts and key regional accounts.<br \/>\n\tManage and co-ordinate regional resources in line with customer plans in order to achieve customer requirements (call cycles etc.).<br \/>\n\tEnsure the customer service excellence is implemented and maintained in line with Vector Leadership Standards.<br \/>\n\tResolve escalated customer queries and issues professionally within 24hours and in the best interest of all parties. Escalate accordingly if not resolved.<br \/>\n\tConduct Principal Trade Visits as required and according to monthly planners.<\/p>\n<p>Financial Management:<\/p>\n<p>\tControl regional sales OPEX budgets in terms of volumes.<br \/>\n\tDrive achievement of both sales and returns targets.<\/p>\n<p>Regional Management:<br \/>\nHuman Resources:<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure all new and existing employees are inducted accordingly and timeously.<br \/>\n\tEnsure leave planners are in place and maintained according to company standards.<br \/>\n\tManage Casual Labour in line with Regional Budget &amp; legislative requirements.<br \/>\n\tMonthly sign \u2013 off of payroll for region including management \/ control of acting allowances &amp; travel allowances ensuring RMP Compliance.<br \/>\n\tManage regional headcount in line with budget; ensure sign-off of organization charts monthly.<br \/>\n\tEnsure IR Matters for region are managed in line with legislation &amp; company policy.<br \/>\n\tManage the employee relations climate and ensure corrective action is taken where required in line with relevant legislation and company policy.<br \/>\n\tLead the regional team towards meeting strategic objectives and targets through regular communication and utilization of the full organizational talent management tool set.<br \/>\n\tConduct regular performance appraisals with subordinates and ensure that the process is cascaded throughout the regional team.<br \/>\n\tCoach and support team members where necessary to achieve objectives.<br \/>\n\tManage and deliver on succession plans to enable the development of a future generation of leaders and specialists and ensure optimal turnover and retention levels are maintained.<br \/>\n\tChampion training and development of the team through the utilization of available training opportunities or by contributing to the development of new training solutions in collaboration with regional and national training specialists.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and manage high performance multi-disciplinary teams in order to solve problems within the region.<br \/>\n\tEncourage skills workshops between multi-disciplinary teams and across the regional team to realize the transfer of skills.<br \/>\n\tConduct weekly management meetings and ensure that records are kept and shared across the team and that action plans agreed to within team meetings are delivered upon.<br \/>\n\tMonitor team performance and provide regular feedback.<\/p>\n<p>Asset Management:<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure that all assets are managed &amp; maintained per employee (ie: cellphones; 3g cards; tablets; vehicles; laptops; uniforms; access cards; fuel cards).<br \/>\n\tEnsure vehicle inspections are completed by the RSM quarterly.<br \/>\n\tManage Fleet including private mileage; fuel cards; speeding; accident investigations.<br \/>\n\tManage above in accordance with company policy and rules.<\/p>\n<p>Handheld Technology (HHT):<\/p>\n<p>\tMonitor reports daily.<br \/>\n\tEnsure collage is updated accordingly to monthly ASM Planner.<br \/>\n\tTrack monthly priorities weekly (ie: key activities by principal by month).<br \/>\n\tSign off store lists for priorities.<br \/>\n\tEnsure promotional execution is achieved.<br \/>\n\tEnsure Shelf Health Scorecards are completed as per target of 30 per ASM per month and VTM achieve monthly SLA (90%).<br \/>\n\tStrike Rate at 80% collage vs planned.<\/p>\n<p>In-Store and Trade Management:<\/p>\n<p>\tTrade Visit: RSM to spend one day per month in the trade with each ASM.<br \/>\n\tEnsure Review Meetings are accordingly actioned: Buyer Quarterly meetings; Regional Operations meetings are done monthly.<\/p>\n<p>Returns Management:<\/p>\n<p>\tReport on Year to Date (YTD) returns VS target.<br \/>\n\tEnsure returns are completed weekly and cleared from back up.<br \/>\n\tReport thermally abused stock to Call Centre as required.<\/p>\n<p>Call Cycles:<\/p>\n<p>\tSign Off Call Cycles: check and validate.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that changes to Call Cycles are logged and uploaded into respective system. \u00a0<br \/>\n\tAll sales employees on HR SAP must have a call cycle on system.<br \/>\n\tRSM to ensure all stores categorized as A+, A,B,C,D are covered by call cycles unless strategically not on to be called on.<\/p>\n<p>Key Relationships<\/p>\n<p>Internal:<\/p>\n<p>\t\u00a0Customer service Centre; Supply Chain; Customers; Operations team; NAM\u2019s; RSM\u2019s.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>External:<\/p>\n<p>\tPrincipals RSM\u2019s; Customers Buyers; Franchisee Owners.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for the Job<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tMatric.<br \/>\n\tDegree or Diploma in management, business administration and or marketing.<br \/>\n\tValid Code EB drivers\u2019 License.<br \/>\n\t5 to 8 years&#8217;
