RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Inspections and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tConduct all relevant inspections, diagnostic tests to determine the condition of the vehicles and prepare reports.
\n\tInterpret diagnostic results and offer suitable solutions.<\/p>\n
Safety Aspects on Plant and Equipment<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with all maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs).
\n\tEnsure that electrical, kinetic and potential energy are neutralised before commencing tasks.
\n\tReport on all accidents and incidents and safety deviations.<\/p>\n
Maintenance of Plant and Equipment<\/p>\n
\tPrepare work plans after fully scoping out the problems.
\n\tOrder parts and maintain parts inventory.
\n\tPerform planned and unplanned maintenance.
\n\tRepair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, suspensions, transmissions and braking systems as per original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
\n\tRepair or replace light fittings, wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, ignitions and proximity switches.
\n\tRepair and maintain basic electrical systems on vehicles (12v, 24v, 48v).
\n\tReplace hydraulic equipment, pumps, valves and cylinders.
\n\tTest drive vehicles to gauge performance.
\n\tConduct oil sampling, analyse and report.
\n\tConduct site visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.
\n\tEnsure that tools and equipment are kept in a safe working condition.<\/p>\n
General Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tAdhere to SHEQ-C Code of Conduct requirements, employment legislation as well as company policies and procedures as amended from time-to-time.
\n\tEnsure good housekeeping of plant and equipment.
\n\tMaintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tDiesel Mechanic Trade Certificate
\n\tAll training certificates and training module documentation be available from accredited training centre
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMinimum three years’ experience on Trackless Mobile Machines (TMM) in a mining environment
\n\tMinimum five years’ experience on yellow equipment
\n\tBasic electrical exposure<\/p>\n
