Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tA relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably a National Diploma in accounting.
\n\tTwo to five (2-5) years\u2019 relevant experience in asset management, preferably in Local Government
\n\tValid Code B Driver\u2019s License
\n\tBasic working knowledge of applicable local government legislation (e.g. MSA, MFMA, and others as applicable).
\n\tGood oral and written communication skills
\n\tCompliance to statutory requirements
\n\tAbility to act professionally and display a high level of confidentiality
\n\tComputer Literate
\n\tThe successful applicant \/ candidate must possess competencies as published in Annexure A of the Local Government: Municipal
\n\tStaff Regulations promulgated in Government Gazette 45181 of 20 September 2021<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
\tCollects and collates information for the preparation of asset verification processes.
\n\tChecking and verifying asset verification compilations for updating of the asset register\/database.
\n\tAssist in compiling monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
\n\tSupervision of Asset Personnel.
\n\tImplement applicable legislation, financial control, by laws policies and procedures to ensure effective asset management.
\n\tResolving queries from the other departments related to the fixed asset register.
\n\tAssisting with the administration and updating of the Capital Financing and Asset Management Module within the financial system.\u00a0<\/p>\n
