We are seeking a reliable and experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department. This role ensures that all buildings, equipment, facilities, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and overall presentation.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:
\nOperational Support<\/p>\n
\tAssist in managing day-to-day maintenance operations
\n\tSupervise maintenance staff and allocate daily tasks
\n\tEnsure preventative and corrective maintenance schedules are followed
\n\tInspect facilities regularly to identify and resolve maintenance issues<\/p>\n
Facilities & Equipment Management<\/p>\n
\tMonitor the condition of buildings, machinery, and equipment
\n\tCoordinate repairs and maintenance work
\n\tEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
\n\tMaintain maintenance records, logs, and reports<\/p>\n
Team Leadership<\/p>\n
\tSupport recruitment, training, and performance management of maintenance staff
\n\tPromote a culture of safety and accountability
\n\tProvide guidance and technical support to team members<\/p>\n
Administrative Duties<\/p>\n
\tAssist in managing maintenance budgets and controlling costs
\n\tMonitor stock levels of tools, equipment, and materials
\n\tLiaise with contractors and service providers
\n\tProvide regular reports to senior management<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Matric)
\n\tRelevant technical qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Building, or similar \u2013 advantageous)
\n\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in maintenance or facilities management
\n\tPrevious supervisory experience
\n\tStrong knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence<\/p>\n
