A leading pet food manufacturing company with a strong focus on the companion animal industry is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to oversee the efficient operation of the plant, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety compliance are met. This role supports the Production Manager in leading the team and maintaining operational excellence.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements for the role:<\/p>\n
\tMust have a relevant tertiary qualification
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 operational or technical experience in a production environment
\n\tProven ability to lead and manage teams in a high-pressure setting
\n\tStrong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and OHSACT compliance requirements is essential
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tAssisting with and monitoring adherence to production planning to meet daily targets.
\n\tEnsuring production practices are aligning with quality objectives and product specifications.
\n\tMonitoring and advising senior team leaders to achieve efficiency and quality targets.
\n\tEnsuring team adherence to safe work practices and OHSACT compliance.
\n\tMonitoring GMP practices and implementing corrective actions as needed.
\n\tGuiding and mentoring production team members to enhance performance.
\n\tMonitoring team discipline and taking corrective or disciplinary action when required.
\n\tEnsuring compliance with HACCP and PRP across production parameters.
\n\tTraining new operators in procedures and proper equipment use.
\n\tAssisting Production and Operations Managers with additional tasks as needed.<\/p>\n
