Key performance areas<\/p>\n
\tPerform teaching duties, including planning lessons using modern-day tools and processes, setting up workbooks and measuring academic improvement and achievement
\n\tSet up, implement, monitor and adjust the term plan as necessary, considering exams, assessments and school activities as well as the need for differentiated learning materials to accommodate barriers to learning
\n\tCreate baseline assessments to assess knowledge levels and based on the assessment outcomes, make recommendations for subject choices\/combinations, teaching methods and remedial work\/catch-up programmes
\n\tPlan and manage the classroom, including the assessment roster, classroom design and set-up for optimal performance, disciplinary rules and communication with learners and parents
\n\tSet up and manage assessments (formal and continuous) and homework, including moderation, revision and supervision
\n\tPlan and manage extramural activities and outings
\n\tProvide one-on-one tutoring support and extra lessons<\/p>\n
Qualifications, experience and skills<\/p>\n
\tBEd degree and\/or PGCE in FET phase education, with an honours degree in education (in the relevant subject\/s) advantageous
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience as an FET phase teacher \u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of the IEB curriculum
\n\tProven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills \u00a0
\n\tExcellent communication, organisational and planning skills
\n\tWilling and able to work extended hours and weekends
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office
\n\tSACE-registered
\n\tClear criminal record<\/p>\n
