The role drives operational excellence through strong people leadership, equipment reliability, adherence to QFSE and safety standards, and disciplined execution of production plans. This position ensures continuous improvement across quality, productivity, waste reduction, and team capability while collaborating cross-functionally to optimise plant performance and maintain a high-reliability manufacturing environment.<\/p>\n<p>Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nKey Outcomes\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Production Management<\/p>\n<p>\tPlan and monitor daily and weekly production schedules to achieve volume, efficiency, and quality targets.<br \/>\n\tAnalyze production performance and drive corrective actions to meet operational KPIs.<br \/>\n\tEnsure accurate recording of production data and maintain production records.<\/p>\n<p>Asset Care and Equipment Reliability<\/p>\n<p>\tSupport Engineering and Maintenance Manager in planning and executing preventive and autonomous maintenance activities.<br \/>\n\tFoster operator ownership of equipment through Autonomous Maintenance practices.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.<\/p>\n<p>Cost and Resource Management<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and manage operational budgets for the production unit, including labor, materials, and overheads.<br \/>\n\tMonitor cost performance against budget, identifying and addressing variances.<br \/>\n\tDrive waste reduction and efficient resource utilization.<\/p>\n<p>Quality and Food Safety<\/p>\n<p>\tEnforce adherence to Quality at Source principles and compliance with QFSE standards.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with the QFSE Manager to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing preventive actions.<br \/>\n\tPromote continuous improvement in product quality and process reliability.<\/p>\n<p>Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.<br \/>\n\tConduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.<br \/>\n\tPromote a culture of safety through training, communication, and visible leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Continuous Improvement<\/p>\n<p>\tIdentify and prioritize performance improvement opportunities based on KPI analysis and process performance.<br \/>\n\tLead problem-solving sessions and implement solutions to eliminate root causes.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with the Continuous Improvement Specialist to embed lean practices.<\/p>\n<p>Team Leadership and Development<\/p>\n<p>\tLead, coach, and mentor Production Team Leaders and Training Controllers to build capability and drive engagement.<br \/>\n\tConduct regular performance reviews and manage individual development plans.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that training and skills development are prioritized and aligned with operational requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Cross-functional Collaboration<\/p>\n<p>\tEngage with peers (e.g., Stores, Quality, Engineering, Projects) to optimize supply chain flow, resource allocation, and plant reliability.<br \/>\n\tFoster a collaborative and solutions-oriented work environment<\/p>\n<p>Skills, Experience &amp; Education\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nEducation<\/p>\n<p>\tNational Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical\/Electrical Engineering, or related field<br \/>\n\tRelevant 3 year post matric qualification (N6 or S4 Diploma) and technical and\/or production management experience.<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\t5\u20138 years in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity<br \/>\n\tProven track record in managing high-volume production environments, preferably FMCG or beverage industry<br \/>\n\tExperience leading cross-functional teams and driving CI projects<\/p>\n<p>Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tStrong knowledge of manufacturing and bottling operations<br \/>\n\tProficient in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar methodologies<br \/>\n\tData analysis and interpretation of operational metrics (OEE, yield, etc.)<br \/>\n\tBudgeting and cost control understanding<br \/>\n\tAdvanced proficiency in MS Office Suite\u00a0<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with manufacturing systems such\u00a0<br \/>\n\tStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills<br \/>\n\tUnderstanding of South African labour law and OHSA preferable<\/p>\n<p>Deadline:20th February,2026<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/www.coca-cola.co.za ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"The Coca-Cola Company","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.coca-cola.co.za","_company_tagline":"Welcome to Coca-Cola South Africa, the company that does the most for community upliftment and is the home of South Africa\u2019s favourite brand.
