ASSISTANT FINANCIAL MANAGER 1:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Operational Entity<\/p>\n
Responsible for Property, plant and equipment reporting including:<\/p>\n
\tFixed asset reconciliation and update of asset register for monthly movements.
\n\tPreparation of internal reports.
\n\tLiaise with the business to determine status of capital\/construction projects and ensure capitalisation occurs timeously
\n\tPrepare all supporting calculations and assist with annual insurance renewal
\n\tFacilitate technical opinion of treatment of various assets that are acquired or disposed off in the business\u00a0<\/p>\n
Taxation<\/p>\n
\tAssist with year-end activities such as tax, preparation for year-end statutory audit and financial statements
\n\tAssist with annual tax return filing and reconciliation\u00a0<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tReconciliation of TB to QlikView platform for completeness and sense checks
\n\tPreparation of monthly management accounts and consolidation
\n\tPreparation of monthly capex in board report formats
\n\tPreparation of reporting packs for Bankers & submission of Statistical returns
\n\tPreparation of quarterly board reports
\n\tPreparation of group annual financial statements
\n\tPreparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, annual results and budget in specific formats as may be required by shareholder group for operational and holding companies\u00a0<\/p>\n
Subsidiary and Holding Companies<\/p>\n
\tReview of monthly reconciliations
\n\tQuarterly reports for board pack submission
\n\tFinancial statements at year-end
\n\tYear-end reviews of tax and deferred tax computations
\n\tFull accounting function of investment holding company\u00a0<\/p>\n
General<\/p>\n
\tReview and release of payments for the operating entity as and when required
\n\tApproval of creditor invoices for processing and payment
\n\tPreparation and maintenance of the prepayment and other ad hoc GL and cash book reconciliations
\n\tAssist with annual budgetary process\u00a0<\/p>\n
ASSISTANT FINANCIAL MANAGER 2:<\/p>\n
Oil Procurement<\/p>\n
Directly responsible for management and oversight of oil procurement team and function including (but not limited to) the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tReview product costings and monthly mass balance for accuracy and completeness
\n\tFollow up and escalate on stock losses identified
\n\tReview check and authorise Supplier invoices for Oil purchases prior to payments
\n\tReview of Supplier reconciliations and accrual accounts and ensure queries and disputes resolved timeously.
\n\tForex exposure management on a deal-by-deal basis
\n\tProvide management and supervision of team<\/p>\n
Assist with Treasury and Cash Management including:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare reserve bank applications for foreign payments and transactions
\n\tPrepare weekly cash flow forecast
\n\tPrepare LC applications and other General Short Term Banking facility utilisations on Standard Bank Portal and resolve queries with supplier and bank\u00a0<\/p>\n
Assist with System Development as follows:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with implementation changes to Software (inhouse and Syspro)
\n\tManage system Admin team\u00a0<\/p>\n
BOTH POSITIONS<\/p>\n
\tAd hoc assignments as and when required by management
\n\tProvide technical opinion on business imperatives\/strategies as and when required\u00a0<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tEssential: CA (SA) or CIMA or B Comm (Accounting)
\n\tEssential:\u00a06 years or more years Financial Accountant\/ Manager
\n\tPreferable:\u00a0Articles at one of the major audit firms.\u00a0
\n\tComputer Skills\u00a0
\n\tEssential: Exposure to any large reporting system e.g. SAP or SYSPRO, Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced excel, Data query logic and systems development\u00a0<\/p>\n
