\n\tWe\u2019re on the lookout for an experienced\u00a0Instruments Mechanician\u00a0who\u00a0will ensure optimum plant availability by efficient maintenance of all instrumentation systems and equipment according to engineering safety<\/p>\n
As an Instruments Mechanician, you will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tInstalls, commissions, modifies and maintains instrument
\n\tinstallations and DCS equipment by the application of engineering expertise and skills in order to satisfy Engineering\u00a0and Production standards and requirements.
\n\tOptimises by loop tuning, investigates and fault-finds process\u00a0controls systems (DCS) by the application of engineering skills,\u00a0process plant and process control knowledge so as to maintain\u00a0performance requirements of such systems.
\n\tRemoves defective instruments from system, decontaminates,\u00a0disassembles, and cleans instruments, and replaces defective parts, using hand tools.
\n\tReassembles instruments and replaces instruments in system, using hand tools.
\n\tCalibrates readings on instruments according to standards and\u00a0adjusts phasing and aligns stages to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function.
\n\tRecords calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand.
\n\tPrepares schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.
\n\tPerforms other related duties as assigned for the purpose of\u00a0ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
\n\tAccurately capturing and closing out daily maintenance activities using SAP, ensuring all work is properly documented in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.\u00a0
\n\tRequired to work standby and overtime as required.
\n\tUnderstands the SHEQ requirements of the Section.
\n\tMonitor subordinate\u2019s performance against SHEQ requirements
\n\tand corrects non-conformances.
\n\tInvestigates incidents (SHEQ) and identify root causes of Non Conformances and corrects deviations.
\n\tMaintains a high level of good housekeeping in the workplace at\u00a0all time.<\/p>\n

\n\tInstrument Trade Test Certificate.
\n\tMinimum (3) years\u2019 plant operations experience .
\n\tComputer Literate (MS Office Package)
\n\tSAP knowledge will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
