\tWe are in need of a Driver with exceptional driving skills. \u00a0Well presented, punctual, prepared to work shifts and overtime. \u00a0The incumbent must have a minimum of 3 years driving exprerience with a good track record. \u00a0Attention to detail. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMinimum grade 12
\n\tHave a valid code 14 driver\u2019s license and valid PDP.
\n\tMinimum of 3 years previous driving experience with a horse and trailer\u00a0
\n\tHaving knowledge of specialised steel is recommended.
\n\tThe incumbent must be self-driven and be able to work under pressure.
\n\tMust be fluent in English (read, speak, and write) and be able to communicate effectively with any given group.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tLoading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
\n\tAssisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
\n\tProviding excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients. Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
\n\tAdhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
\n\tAbiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
\n\tEnsuring trips sheets, delivery notes and any other documentation is signed and returned by customer Operating equipment and machinery, (Trucks, overhead cranes and forklifts)
\n\tRefuel and clean vehicle.
\n\tReport road incidents to the Logistics supervisor
\n\tInspect trucks and complete a daily checklist. Record and report issues to Logistics supervisor
\n\tFollow accident procedures.
\n\tReport mechanical problems to logistics supervisor
\n\tEscalating and communicating all delays to logistics supervisor
\n\tEnsuring that vehicles and company assets are treated and managed carefully and to prevent damage.
\n\tPracticing and maintaining effective good driving behaviour to prevent damage or excessive cost to company and its assets.
\n\tEnsure that trucks and axels are not overloaded. Participate in debrief meetings with logistics department
\n\tConduct Daily Safety Task Inspections.<\/p>\n
