Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tManage \/ be part of Engineering, looking for the improvement of the reliability and availability of the fleet\u00a0
\n\tProvide technical advisory services to resolve technical issues at the Depot level, ensuring Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) requirements are met and be the link between Gibela and the Customer to resolve issues that need Engineering support.
\n\tPropose ideas for Life Cycle Cost (LCC) improvements either on product design, process and tools through technical data analysis from commercial service (during warranty and out of warranty),
\n\tSupport Engineering activities in the project at depot level.
\n\tCoordinate with Central Engineering functional tests, train validation as per all test or validation requests.<\/p>\n
Technical Support<\/p>\n
\tReview all commercial faults with the customer and agree on responsibility depot engineer and the customer\u2019s depot engineer meet to review all the faults that have been fixed.
\n\tResolve technical problems within the depot by identifying root causes and developing robust solutions that are right first time
\n\tValidate and provide performance report on all applied reliability solutions
\n\tInvestigate repetitive failures and determine if they are either corrective or fleet defect issues.
\n\tProvide technical support to field investigations for root cause identification
\n\tPropose innovative solutions and implements solutions in the projects
\n\tManage technical points raised by Customer and Gibela team in Web-Portal tool or any other tool available
\n\tAllocate and review weekly faults with the customer
\n\tFlag Potential Service Affecting Failures (SAF) to the business
\n\tUpdate SAP with all confirmed and agreed failure notifications
\n\tLead contractual technical investigations and recoveries for Major EMD
\n\tTracks all measurements analysis KPI\u2019s in depot relating to Central Engineering
\n\tSupport field modifications for complex solutions
\n\tSupports Supplier Quality at the depot for complex investigations and non-conformance (NCR) claims
\n\tTechnical support for Reliability Growth through investigations and data analysis.
\n\tReliability target as per contract are met monthly.
\n\tDaily commercial service targets are me.
\n\tCustomer survey targets are met.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBSc \/ BEng \/ BTech (Mechanical or Electronics or Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering) or similar relevant qualification.
\n\t3 years experience in?:\u00a0
\n\tRAMS.
\n\tPrognostic Tools (Centralised Fleet Maintenance (CFM), Health Hub (HH) or equivalent tools for remote fleet monitoring program).
\n\tMicrosoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word…)
\n\tSystem Application and Products (SAP).
\n\tWorking knowledge of safety management systems and risk assessment..
\n\tAbstract knowledge engineering design processes, engineering drawings and interpretation software
\n\tRegistered or Registerable as a Professional Engineer\/Technologist with ECSA.
\n\t2 years experience in rail safety and railways standards knowledge preferred. (advantageous)
\n\t2 years Fault Finding and Technical support experience. (advantageous)<\/p>\n
Special Requirements<\/p>\n
\tIncumbent will be required to travel to client depots, suppliers and the customer.<\/p>\n
