Duties & Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDeliver lectures and engage students based on module-specific requirements in line with module pacers.\u00a0
\n\tManage resources including academic materials and liaising with the Information Centre.\u00a0
\n\tUpdate Learning Management System and provide feedback to students.\u00a0
\n\tEngage and prepare students for assessments, identify at risk students, and develop assessments in accordance with Central Academic Team briefings.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor student engagement as well as assessment submission with relevant escalation.\u00a0
\n\tAttend and participate in academic meetings across all faculties.\u00a0
\n\tSupport Part-time Lecturers with faculty requirements.\u00a0
\n\tReflect on, review, and analyse student module result.\u00a0
\n\tOffer academic support to the Programme Coordinator with results analysis and tracking of own modules to assess performance of modules and to identify at risk modules.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop and design Teaching-Learning materials in support of module-specific outcomes.\u00a0
\n\tAssist with student registration and orientation as required.\u00a0
\n\tAssist with student registration and orientation as required.\u00a0
\n\tResearch: Conduct scholarly disciplinary based or SOTL Research and deliver set research outputs according to institution \/ Brand\u2019s research targets and contribute to the Brand\u2019s Teaching-Learning practice;\u00a0or\u00a0
\n\tAcademic Professional Development: complete a set number of academic professional development interventions per academic cycle (one year) that contribute to the improvement of the Brand\u2019s Teaching-Learning practice and personal professional academic status.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tB.Ed. Honours\u00a0degree in the language to be lectured
\n\tPostgraduate Diploma (at NQF level 8),
\n\t1 to 3 years of industry-specific experience in area of specialisation.\u00a0
\n\tA minimum of 3 years lecturing experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n
