\tThe Risk & Compliance Specialist will lead the implementation, integration and optimisation of AirChefs\u2019 Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and compliance frameworks. You will play a strategic role in ensuring that the company operates in line with legislative, regulatory and internal governance requirements\u2014supporting long-term sustainability, operational excellence, and stakeholder confidence.
\n\tThis role requires a seasoned professional able to partner with business leaders, analyse trends, influence decisions, and provide insight-driven recommendations that enhance organisational resilience.<\/p>\n
Principal Accountabilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tStrategic Leadership
\n\tContribute to the development and execution of the company\u2019s Risk & Compliance Strategy.
\n\tLead the conceptualisation, implementation and continuous improvement of ERM methodologies, policies and procedures.
\n\tConduct environmental and trend analysis to identify emerging risks and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
Operational Risk & Compliance Management<\/p>\n
\tImplement robust risk management processes across the business.
\n\tConduct strategic and operational risk assessments and ensure effective monitoring, reporting and mitigation.
\n\tOversee compliance with national legislation, corporate governance standards (PFMA, King Code, etc.) and internal policies.
\n\tSupport the development and monitoring of business continuity frameworks.
\n\tEnsure timely, accurate reporting to EXCO and other key stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tBuild strong internal and external relationships to enhance risk awareness and compliance culture.
\n\tProvide expert advice to business leaders on risk responses, policy development and compliance obligations.
\n\tConduct training and awareness sessions on regulatory updates and compliance standards.<\/p>\n
Governance & Controls<\/p>\n
\tMaintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring alignment with best practice in GRC.
\n\tManage governance structures, audit requirements and performance standards for ERM and compliance.
\n\tSupport investigations, disciplinary processes and enforcement of compliance breaches.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Legal, Commercial, or related field (NQF Level 7).
\n\tPostgraduate qualification in Risk Management, Financial Management or Law (NQF Level 8) is an advantage.
\n\t8 years\u2019 experience in Risk or Compliance Management, with at least 5 years at senior management level.
\n\tFMCG or regulated industry experience is highly advantageous.
\n\tStrong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, budgeting processes and ERM systems.<\/p>\n
