The role improves forecast accuracy, manages demand risks and scenarios, enables effective IBP cycles, and develops a high-performing Demand Planning team.<\/p>\n<p>Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nKey Outcome<\/p>\n<p>Demand Forecasting and Consensus Building<\/p>\n<p>\tOwn the national volume forecast across all categories, channels, and time horizons.<br \/>\n\tLead monthly demand review cycles in alignment with the IBP process.<br \/>\n\tWork cross-functionally to build consensus between Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain<\/p>\n<p>Forecast Accuracy and Continuous Improvement<\/p>\n<p>\tAnalyse forecast performance, identify root causes of inaccuracies, and lead corrective action initiatives.<br \/>\n\tDrive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy through analytics, collaboration, and enhanced process discipline.<br \/>\n\tImplement forecast segmentation, lifecycle planning, and event-based adjustment best practices.<\/p>\n<p>Process and System Enablement<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure adherence to a structured demand planning calendar and governance framework.<br \/>\n\tLeverage statistical models, system-generated forecasts, and market intelligence to produce robust projections.<br \/>\n\tChampion the use of \u00a0demand planning system across all users.<\/p>\n<p>Leadership and People Development<\/p>\n<p>\tLead, coach, and mentor Demand Planners, ensuring role clarity, capability development, and performance excellence.<br \/>\n\tSet clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support career development for team members.<br \/>\n\tFoster a high-performance, collaborative culture within the demand planning function.<\/p>\n<p>Scenario and Risk Management<\/p>\n<p>\tLead the modeling of demand scenarios in response to promotional activity, pricing shifts, customer initiatives, or market disruption.<br \/>\n\tProvide early warnings on risks and opportunities, with actionable mitigation plans.<br \/>\n\tAccountable for volume alignment across financial, commercial, and operational functions.<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Engagement and Communication<\/p>\n<p>\tPartner with Commercial and Finance teams to align forecast with revenue targets and market dynamics.<br \/>\n\tRepresent the demand function in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) forums and executive reviews.<br \/>\n\tPresent forecast insights, key drivers, and forecast accuracy metrics clearly to senior leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Skills, Experience &amp; Education\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nEducation<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Economics, related field<br \/>\n\tPreferred: Honours or postgraduate qualification in Demand Planning, Operations Research, or Commercial Strategy<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\t6\u20138 years\u2019 experience in demand planning or forecasting within FMCG or manufacturing<br \/>\n\tProven success in cross-functional planning environments (Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing)<br \/>\n\tDemonstrated impact on forecast improvement and planning process enhancement<br \/>\n\tExperience in integrated IBP cycles<br \/>\n\tDemonstrated experience leading and developing demand planning teams, including setting objectives, coaching performance, and building capability.<\/p>\n<p>Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tStrong statistical forecasting and analytical capabilities<br \/>\n\tExpertise in SAP, Blue Yonder or similar demand planning platforms<br \/>\n\tAdvanced proficiency in Excel; Power BI or Tableau is a plus<br \/>\n\tUnderstanding of market dynamics, promotional planning, and product lifecycle management<br \/>\n\tSkilled in presenting data-driven insights and engaging cross-functional teams<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with commercial planning processes and their integration with supply chain<br \/>\n\tStrong influential, communication, facilitation, and coaching skills<br \/>\n\tProven people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and performance-manage Demand Planners.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline:1st March,2026<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/www.coca-cola.co.za ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"The Coca-Cola Company","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.coca-cola.co.za","_company_tagline":"Welcome to Coca-Cola South Africa, the company that does the most for community upliftment and is the home of South Africa\u2019s favourite brand.
