Duties and responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tClean designated\/assigned areas.
\n\tTake stock of cleaning materials and request new materials, as required.
\n\tPick up and dispose of litter
\n\tOperate hand and power tools applicable to the trade, such as a brush cutter, snapper, blower, push mower, precision cutter, etc.
\n\tPerform irrigation maintenance when required.
\n\tMark sporting areas, as required.
\n\tTrim trees, mow, rake, and trim lawns and\/or athletic fields.
\n\tAssist in various maintenance activities as required.
\n\tOperate a motor vehicle\/tractor, when required, to transport materials and equipment, as
\n\tappropriate to the position.
\n\tPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
\n\tAttend meetings with the team leader as scheduled
\n\tLift, move and manipulate heavy objects, when required.
\n\tApply\/spray fertilizer and\/or pesticides according to procedure\/instructions.
\n\tReview and inspect equipment\/supplies to ensure proper care in the use and maintenance thereof.
\n\tRead and follow safety procedures.
\n\tPromote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.<\/p>\n
Inherent requirements:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 10 on NQF Level 2 (attach proof).
\n\tCode EB\/B driver\u2019s license (attach a copy).
\n\tExperience relating to the duties and responsibilities set out above.<\/p>\n
Recommendations:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of one (1) year of experience relating to the duties and responsibilities set out above.
\n\tExperience in operating gardening equipment and machinery.
\n\tKnowledge of applicable safety procedures.<\/p>\n
