A career opportunity exists for a Production Manager based at the Westmead Biscuit factory. We seek to attract a
\n\tTechnical expert to take on the challenging role of Production Manager to lead and support the Production team in order to meet customer requirements and ensure that world class production and quality targets are achieved in the most cost effective manner. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of no less than 5 years in a leadership role in a production environment and be in possession of the relevant tertiary qualification. This role will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager.<\/p>\n

Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
\tTo effectively empower and develop staff through goal setting and performance management in-order to enable them to contribute effectively and make the right decisions.
\n\tEnsuring high efficiency, excellent quality and low waste.
\n\tTo ensure optimal production through effective liaison with all other support functions.
\n\tManage and ensure cost effective labour usage in accordance with MANMAPS.
\n\tAnalysing and resolving production history in order to minimize potential risk.
\n\tTo ensure that operating specifications are in place and are achievable (correctly implemented).
\n\tTo ensure the right talent are recruited and identified for development.
\n\tImplementation of the correct business strategies.
\n\tEffectively manage operational budget and cost effectiveness.
\n\tTo ensure implementation and adherence to SHEQ; QMS and food safety.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
Experience: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in a production leadership role with in an FMCG environment overseeing baking plant\/s
\n\tExperience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment required<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tA relevant completed Food Technology Degree \/ B-Tech is essential as a minimum<\/p>\n
Additional Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tGood understanding and knowledge of baking processes and ingredient science including fats.
\n\tBasic understanding of Chocolate and Jam manufacturing
\n\tHands on capabilities and skills in operating baking equipment is welcomed
\n\tGood Excel and data analysis skills including statistical analysis
\n\tGood written and numeracy skills
\n\tPassionate about Food Science and Technology, specifically Baking.
\n\tExcellent People Management skills
\n\tUnderstanding Process Flow
\n\tGood IR knowledge and skills
\n\tGood working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
\n\tGood knowledge of SHEQ and Continuous Improvement
\n\tSafety and environmental exposure
\n\tLean Manufacturing Principles
\n\tExperience in SAP Manufacturing & HR will be an added advantage.
\n\tSound knowledge and understanding of WCM or TPM
\n\tManagement Information Systems such as Wonderware or Shopware or SCADA
\n\tExposure to AIB \/ GMP\u2019s and FSSC systems
\n\tSOP\u2019s; Work Instructions and OPL\u2019s formalizing & training<\/p>\n
