MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tThe position reports directly into the Workout & Restructuring Business Area and the delivery is based on all credit risk matters related to the \u00a0workout & restructuring portfolio. Carry out quality credit assessment, present sustainable solutions and manage the credit risk of a portfolio of clients within the W&R \u00a0portfolio . To perform quality credit assessments and submissions \u00a0for the allocated portfolio within workout & restructuring applications and mitigate any potential risk on behalf of the Land Bank in accordance with the approved Credit and W&R Policies and the delegated level of power.<\/p>\n

\nCredit Assessment and Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tCarry out full credit assessments within allocated portfolio
\n\tCheck the credit submission for completeness, including accompanying documents in terms of the approved loan guidelines.
\n\tEnsure that all relevant information and documentation has been received from the operations as per the agreed checklist
\n\tFollow up with the branches to ensure that all supporting documentation is complete
\n\tEnsure that loan applications conform to the set standards, highlight anomalies and suggest corrective measures
\n\tAlign products to the purpose of the loan and the Credit Policy to suite customer\u2019s needs
\n\tCo-ordination of CAC and CCC setting up of agenda(s) for application(s) to be heard
\n\tReporting stats of application(s) processed for allocated region(s)
\n\tCheck the spreading of financial statements to identify the viability and performance of the business and assess business and financial risk by analysing financial statements of applicants
\n\tProvide the committee with the summary of market and industry analysis
\n\tResearch and assess the industry in which the loan is associated \u00a0as appropriate to assess the potential risk of granting the loan
\n\tInterpret financial statements and economic \/ political \/ industry\/commodity data<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Relationship Management and Team Support<\/p>\n
\tPromote a culture of credit risk management at branch level.
\n\tProvide guidance and training to operations on credit related matters
\n\tAdhering to legislative requirements
\n\tPro-actively develop self with regards to other \/ new products in the Land Bank
\n\tManage own career and personal developments
\n\tDemonstrate behaviour that is aligned to the Land Bank values<\/p>\n
General Administration and Audit Matters<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that documentation is archived in accordance to the Bank\u2019s policy for record and audit purposes
\n\tAttend to audit findings as and when required within area of responsibility
\n\tTake remedial action on all audit findings and ensure that issues are resolved or addressed
\n\tEnsure recording of all credit committee meetings are loaded on the v-drive<\/p>\n
Loan Policies and Procedures<\/p>\n
\tProvide input to policies and procedures and updates and identify opportunities to improve as and when required
\n\tProvide inputs on lending norms and credit criteria to be applied on new products
\n\tParticipate in the review of Credit Policies and procedures.
\n\tEnsure that the branches are informed of changes to policies and\/or of credit policies and procedures that have been approved<\/p>\n
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\t3 year Tertiary Qualification (Commerce) Majors Accounting; or a 3 year Credit Management Diploma
\n\tRelevant credit assessment experience
\n\tThorough knowledge of the
\n\tNCA, CPA, FICA and related credit regulatory requirements
\n\tThe primary and secondary agriculture sector finance. \u00a0
\n\tAppraisal of credit proposals and deal structure for: assets finance, working capital, back ward and forward integration finance<\/p>\n
