REQUIREMENTS :<\/p>\n
\tA four-year Degree (NQF8) in Natural or Environmental Sciences or relevant qualification plus six years post qualification experience in the relevant field.
\n\tAll shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments.
\n\tOne will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate\u2019s suitability based on the post\u2019s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Knowledge PFMA, MRV Framework, UNFCCC and ETF under the Paris Agreement.
\n\tUnderstanding of Climate Change Policies and Programmes as well as international reporting obligations and requirements.

The long-term vision of the DFFE is to have \u201ca prosperous and equitable society living in harmony with our natural resources\u201d, as outlined in our medium-term strategic plan. To support the achievement of this vision, the DFFE has identified five strategic goals, as follows: Environmental economic contribution optimised; Environmental\/Ecological integrity safeguarded and enhanced; Social transformation within our communities; Global agenda influenced and obligations met; and A capable and efficient department.
