Detailed description<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:<\/p>\n
\tOversee protection at the Head Office facility of the SARB.
\n\tConduct thorough inspection and other security measures to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
\n\tMonitor the implementation of, and compliance with, applicable policies and procedures.
\n\tConduct workplace assessments.
\n\tManage the firearms of the shift.
\n\tEnsure that operational security staff members comply with and are fit for deployment.
\n\tManage the performance and development of team members.
\n\tProvide administrative support to the management structure of the Security Operations Division at Head Office.
\n\tProvide management information for the purposes of decision making.
\n\tProactively broaden knowledge of own functional area, displaying willingness to make improvements in the unit (including methods and practices).<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:<\/p>\n
\ta Diploma in Security Management or an equivalent NQF6 qualification;
\n\tfive years\u2019 experience in a national key point\u00a0facility protection environment;
\n\ttwo years\u2019 experience in facility operational security supervision, including security systems, procedures and personnel;
\n\tsound knowledge and understanding of a national key point security environment, emergency and incident management, risk management, control room operations, electronic security systems, key control and relevant legislation;
\n\ta certificate in handling firearms (9 mm pistol, semi-automatic rifle and shotgun);
\n\ta medical, physical and psychological fitness level that is commensurate with the inherent requirements of the position;\u00a0
\n\ta Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade B certificate;
\n\ta favourable security clearance;\u00a0
\n\ta valid Code 8 (Code B) driver\u2019s licence;
\n\tproficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) as well as using the internet, enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, the Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud Solution and email;\u00a0and availability to work shifts (including weekends) and perform duties as required by operational circumstances.<\/p>\n
