Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
FP&A:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDevelop, implement, and manage financial models to forecast business performance.
\n\tAnalyse variances between actual and budgeted results, providing insights and recommendations.<\/p>\n
Budgeting & Forecasting:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tLead the annual budgeting process for the Africa business ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
\n\t\u00a0Collaborate with operational teams to gather inputs and ensure accuracy in budget submissions.<\/p>\n
Reporting:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management, the Africa executive team and various stakeholders, highlighting KPIs.
\n\tProvide ad\u2011hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.<\/p>\n
Strategy and Innovation:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupport strategic projects aimed at enhancing business efficiency through innovative ideas.
\n\tEvaluate potential investments and cost\u2011saving initiatives.<\/p>\n
Team Management:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tOversee performance management for the FP&A team.
\n\tReview and analyse work performed by the OTC, PTP and RTR towers including Accenture and the Accounting Hub.
\n\tOversee the indirect Function budget and variances.
\n\tAssist the team with internal\/external audit, balance sheet reviews (regional & global), treasury requirements (Banking, Supplier financing, equity requirement, etc.), and tax and statutory compliance.
\n\tResponsible for Finance system changes and projects.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
\tCA(SA) is essential.
\n\tContinuous professional development.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tExperience in supply chain management.
\n\tStrong relationship management and cultural appreciation.
\n\tAbility to drive impact and influence stakeholders.
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n\tProficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
\n\tStrong negotiation skills.
\n\tAcquisition appraisal and management experience.
\n\tTeam development and leadership capability.
\n\tBroad commercial acumen, including general management experience.
\n\tExpertise in strategic planning approaches and strategy determination.
\n\tProven track record of strong P&L understanding.
\n\tAbility to work collaboratively across functions and influence stakeholders.
\n\tExcellent communication and presentation skills.
\n\tEffective management in diverse geographic and multicultural environments<\/p>\n
