Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tCompleted finance\/ bookkeeping related certification preferred
\n\t3 years plus work experience as a Bookkeeper\/ Accountant
\n\tSkilled in Excel and an accounting package, Xero advantageous
\n\tExperience with general ledger functions
\n\tAble to plan, organise and take initiative to meet deadlines independently<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tManage and maintain general ledger accounts of group entities
\n\tEnsure correctness of VAT allocations and VAT calculations across entities
\n\tMaintain integrity, accuracy and completeness of accounting records and information systems
\n\tPrepare weekly accounts payable and receivable reports for management
\n\tReview and ensure completeness of weekly bank payments
\n\tManage balance sheets and profit and loss statements
\n\tReconcile control accounts and address problems according to guidelines
\n\tAudit financial transactions and verify supporting documents and authorisations
\n\tComply with financial policies and regulations
\n\tAssist with preparing client proposals and sales quotes when necessary
\n\tAssist with quotes on an ad hoc basis
\n\tMaintain accurate financial records
\n\tCoordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities
\n\tSupport group insurance management and fixed asset management
\n\tMaintain and manage insurance schedules, claims and related administration
\n\tSupervise and train junior accountants
\n\tAssist the Finance Manager with administrative tasks
\n\tEffectively support the Finance Manager at all levels<\/p>\n
