Duties include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tAssisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts (income statements, balance sheets and schedules)
\n\tPerforming reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors and general ledger)
\n\tSupporting Budget vs Actual variance analysis
\n\tAssisting with VAT submissions and statutory returns
\n\tReviewing cashbooks, invoicing, and debtor age analysis
\n\tAssisting with audit preparation and audit packs
\n\tInvestigating account queries and resolving discrepancies
\n\tSupporting internal control processes
\n\tProviding assistance to the Financial Manager
\n\tAssisting with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tMinimum requirement: BCom in Accounting<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t1\u20133 years accounting experience\u00a0
\n\tStrong Excel skills
\n\tExposure to commercial \/ corporate environment advantageous
\n\tUnderstanding of financial processes and reconciliations
\n\tExperience working with accounting systems (Xero advantageous)<\/p>\n
Skills and Attributes<\/p>\n
\tComputer literate (experience in Google Drive, Sheets and Docs preferable)
\n\tNumerical Proficiency. Must have a strong aptitude for working with numbers, performing calculations
\n\tMust possess Leadership skills, someone that has the ability to inspire and motivate a team\u00a0
\n\tAttention to Detail: Meticulousness in reviewing and preparing financial documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance
\n\tProblem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify financial discrepancies, investigate root causes, and propose solutions to resolve issues effectively.
\n\tSoftware Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero
\n\tProven organisational skills
\n\tExcellent written and communication skills
