{"id":31048,"date":"2026-03-03T12:02:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T12:02:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/people-support-manager\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T12:02:47","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T12:02:47","slug":"people-support-manager","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/people-support-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"People Support Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Strategic and Operational Leadership\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tSupport the Head of People Support to develop and implement People Support operational strategies aligned with business goals.<br \/>\n\tBenchmark national and international PS best practices and make recommendations to enhance People Support Services.<br \/>\n\tTranslate the company\u2019s people strategy into clear team objectives and ensure delivery through structured plans.<br \/>\n\tEnsure team structures, capacity and roles are optimally designed to deliver service excellence.<br \/>\n\tMaintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant labour legislation, HR trends, and compliance frameworks.<\/p>\n<p>People Support Service Delivery\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide strong PS advisory support to management and employees across all people-related matters.<br \/>\n\tDrive consistency and excellence in service delivery to enhance employee and customer experience.<br \/>\n\tEnsure alignment of PS policies, practices, and systems with organisational values and compliance standards.<br \/>\n\tOversee budget planning and cost management for People Support initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Recruitment Management<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and implement an effective recruitment and talent acquisition strategy aligned with workforce planning needs (Bulk recruitment and specialised roles).<br \/>\n\tManage multiple sourcing channels and recruitment campaigns to attract top talent.<br \/>\n\tOptimise employer branding and employee value proposition to improve attraction and retention.<br \/>\n\tOversee onboarding, induction, and probation processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires.<br \/>\n\tPartner with Learning &amp; Development to identify skills gaps and succession planning needs.<\/p>\n<p>Employee Relations (IR)<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide expert advice and coaching to management and PS team members on labour relations matters.<br \/>\n\tEnsure all Disciplinary Enquiries adhere to procedural and substantive fairness, by reviewing charges, initiators packs and ensuring the correct process is followed.<br \/>\n\tConduct and represent the company with CCMA disputes and ensures that cases are effectively and professionally prepared and reported to the business<br \/>\n\tEnsure all IR policies and practices comply with the Labour Relations Act and related legislation.<br \/>\n\tTrain and guide managers on effective IR and grievance management practices.<br \/>\n\tManage and oversee the employee grievance process to ensure all concerns are addressed fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with company policy and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Performance Management<\/p>\n<p>\tGuide managers through the performance management process, including goal setting, reviews, and development planning.<br \/>\n\tEnsure performance improvement processes are fairly and consistently applied.<br \/>\n\tProvide input into training needs analysis and collaborate with the L&amp;D team on competency frameworks.<\/p>\n<p>Organisational Development and Change Management\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tSupport the design and implementation of organisational structures and job roles that enable business efficiency.<br \/>\n\tFacilitate change management interventions to ensure smooth transitions and employee buy-in.<br \/>\n\tAdvise managers on team development, engagement, and cultural alignment issues.<\/p>\n<p>Employee Engagement and Retention\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tManage the Employee Engagement Survey process, analyse trends, and drive improvement plans.<br \/>\n\tDevelop retention strategies to enhance engagement and reduce turnover.<br \/>\n\tConduct onboarding and exit interviews to identify engagement drivers and risks.<br \/>\n\tPlan and implement recognition and reward initiatives that strengthen the company culture.<br \/>\n\tManage and Coordinate the Employee Engagement Meeting and ensure concerns are timeously addressed.<br \/>\n\tManage and oversee the monthly RapStars awards and Annual Performance &amp; Leadership awards.<\/p>\n<p>Employee Wellness\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tCreate the Employee Wellness Strategy and budget<br \/>\n\tImplement and coordinate employee wellness programmes, events and days that aims to enhance and promote employee and organisational wellness in line with the Wellness strategy<br \/>\n\tManage the relationship with Momentum for the onsite clinic and Life Health Solutions for the EAP.<\/p>\n<p>Compliance, Risk and Reporting\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure all People Support activities align with governance, audit, and risk management requirements.<br \/>\n\tPrepare and submit Employment Equity reports, plans, and statistics within required timelines.<br \/>\n\tOversee regular audits of employee files and HR processes to ensure compliance.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate, plan and manage EE &amp; Skills Development Committee Meetings.<br \/>\n\tPrepare and present monthly HR reports, insights, and recommendations to management.<\/p>\n<p>Leadership and Team Management\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tLead, coach, and develop the People Support team to deliver exceptional performance and professional growth.<br \/>\n\tFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, respect and service excellence.<br \/>\n\tEnsure succession and career path planning within the team.<br \/>\n\tChampion Pepkor Payments &amp;
