\n\tNational Bioproducts Institute NPC has a vacancy for the role of Aseptic Technician. The successful incumbent will be required to:
\n\tTo assist with the production of sterilised products into bottles, vials and ampoules according to specifications and GMP compliance.
\n\tTo process final product till inspection as per Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Specific SHE Requirements<\/p>\n
\tPre-employment, routine and exit medicals are compulsory due to the nature of the business
\n\tAttendance to SHE related training is mandatory
\n\tAdherence to SHE Instructions
\n\tCompliance to SHE Site Rules is compulsory
\n\tNBI uses hazardous and biologically active chemicals.
\n\tThe successful candidate will be required to use proper PPE and will go through medical examinations as per OSH Act requirements<\/p>\n
Specific Operational Requirements<\/p>\n
\tThe successful candidate will be required to work an 8 hour shift as rostered between 06:00-18:00 or 18:00-06:00, Monday to Sunday.
\n\tCandidate must have access to reliable transport.
\n\tMay be required to work overtime to meet the business needs.
\n\tMust be prepared to work shifts\/weekends\/public holidays when needed.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with minimum D marks in English and minimum D marks in math, science, biology or EMS
\n\t1-2 years experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology or food manufacturing environment employing GMP guidelines.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nProduction of final filled products<\/p>\n
\tPreparation of equipment, machines and components by cleaning and sterilising as required
\n\tAssembly and disassembly of machines, equipment and product transfer sets to ensure product integrity
\n\tOperation and monitoring of all required machines and equipment
\n\tCapping and coding of filled units
\n\tLoading and offloading of the depyrogenation oven, autoclave, freezedryer and pasteuriser as per SOP
\n\tCleaning of work machinery and work areas as per SOP
\n\tWork in the clean room and follows aseptic techniques<\/p>\n
Sampling and environmental monitoring<\/p>\n
\tTake required samples for QC, QA and microbiology testing as required.
\n\tPerform environmental and personnel monitoring as per SOPs
\n\tEnsure correct labelling of samples and product samples and transfer to respective departments<\/p>\n
Completion of batch records and auxiliary documentation<\/p>\n
\tCompletes batch records timeously as required by protocols and SOPs.
\n\tCompletes log books and registers for traceability and process status records<\/p>\n
Maintain Equipment<\/p>\n
\tMonitor equipment performance
\n\tWorks with team members to conduct first-line maintenance of equipment
\n\tReports incidents and machine related problems to the section head
\n\tAssist with the calibration and validation of equipment and processes by preparing components and equipment as required.<\/p>\n
Comply with Good Manufacturing Procedures<\/p>\n
\tWorks with team members to execute SOPs and protocols to prepare, fill, freeze dry, cap and code ampoules, vials and bottles.
\n\tFollow the gowning procedure as per SOPs and GMP requirements
\n\tUse appropriate packaging and ensures required conditions for the appropriate storage of in-process materials and product
\n\tDispose of waste products according to SOP\u2019s
\n\tFollows the behavioural requirements for working in clean rooms
\n\tParticipates in audits of manufacturing areas
\n\tWorks with team members to assess processes and recommend methods for improving quality and efficiency
\n\tEnsure manufacturing area is clean and tidy
\n\tAttend training courses as required<\/p>\n
Comply with the OHS act<\/p>\n
\tWork in a safe manner under the indirect supervision of team members.
\n\tWear appropriate PPE
\n\tAct as Safety Rep, Evacuation Team Leader or First-Aider as required
\n\tReports any identified risks, hazards and incidents<\/p>\n
