PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tThis position exists to ensure the achievement of business objectives through existing contract execution and growth in the region. The incumbent would ensure that Fraser Alexander\u2019s purpose is realised throughout Africa.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Divisional Business Management<\/p>\n
\tProvide strong operational management, ensuring critical measures are achieved or exceeded every month.
\n\tEnsure effective country risk analysis, mitigation, and management.
\n\tEnsure policy compliance in the division.
\n\tDrive business planning and growth aligned with Fraser Alexander\u2019s Africa strategy.
\n\tEnsure jurisdictional governance and compliance, in addition to Fraser Alexander\u2019s combined assurance requirements.<\/p>\n
Leadership<\/p>\n
\tEnsure a culture of operational performance that is quality-focused and ensures consistent output.
\n\tDevelop a divisional leadership team that is innovative, determined to succeed, disciplined, and self-driven.
\n\tEnsure a culture of delivering on expected outputs based on lean principles and effective cost stewardship\u00a0through the application of the Fraser Alexander performance management system.<\/p>\n
Financial Management<\/p>\n
\tDivisional financial performance management, including financial modelling for new projects and tenders.
\n\tCountry financial performance management, covering both top-line and bottom-line performance.<\/p>\n
Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure alignment with Fraser Alexander\u2019s Enterprise Risk Management and combined assurance framework.
\n\tEvaluate country, client, and project risks and opportunities.<\/p>\n
Contract Management<\/p>\n
\tTendering (including risk matrix, financial models, margins, returns, etc.) and meeting approval requirements.
\n\tManage contracts to ensure business targets are met, including risk mitigation, production, cost, quality, and ESG objectives.<\/p>\n
Customer Relations Management<\/p>\n
\tTarget new clients and business opportunities.
\n\tMaintain regular client engagement, ensuring a 100% customer satisfaction survey completion rate and positive feedback.<\/p>\n
SHEQ Management<\/p>\n
\tProvide SHEQ standards and procedures aligned with client SHE programmes and Fraser Alexander Group requirements.<\/p>\n
Growth<\/p>\n
\tExplore opportunities for new business.
\n\tInitiate, support, and implement Fraser Alexander strategic initiatives for future growth and sustainability through ongoing in-country brand and business development.
\n\tReview and authorise tender documents and proposals prior to submission.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tBSc or BEng Degree and postgraduate qualification.
\n\tManagement, business, or commercial-related qualification.
\n\tLeadership Development<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t15 – 20 years applicable experience will be required, some of which must be in the mining industry.<\/p>\n
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED<\/p>\n
\tMining services operational experience.
\n\tMining industry thought leader.<\/p>\n
