Industrial Engineering Logistics Supervisor – Automotive Manufacturing<\/p>\n
\tA leading automotive manufacturing operation in KZN is seeking an experienced\u00a0Industrial Engineering Logistics Supervisor\u00a0to lead and coordinate daily logistics activities within a fast-paced production environment.
\n\tThis role is responsible for ensuring the effective storage, delivery and supply of goods while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.\u00a0
\n\tThe successful candidate will oversee inventory control, order accuracy, team supervision and logistics performance, ensuring customer requirements and production deadlines are consistently achieved.
\n\tThis position requires a hands-on leader who can optimise logistics systems, ensure compliance with industry standards and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational challenges.<\/p>\n

Qualifications & Experience:<\/p>\n
\tRelevant Diploma\/Degree in\u00a0Industrial Engineering\u00a0(Minimum Requirement)
\n\tMinimum 3 years’ relevant\u00a0Logistics \/ Supply Chain\u00a0experience
\n\tProven Supervisory\u00a0experience within\u00a0Automotive Manufacturing<\/p>\n
Technical Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tStrong understanding of planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems
\n\tWorking knowledge of ERP systems
\n\tKnowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards
\n\tSound understanding of logistics procedures and relevant legal requirements
\n\tData analysis and statistical analysis capability
\n\tKnowledge of Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel
\n\tUnderstanding of Health & Safety standards in manufacturing
\n\tEmployee and Industrial Relations knowledge
\n\tBasic business and financial acumen
\n\tStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tOversee daily operations of the logistics department
\n\tSupervise and manage logistics team performance
\n\tOptimise inventory levels, stock movement and order fulfilment processes
\n\tEnsure accurate recording of all stock movements
\n\tPlan and coordinate logistics processes to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness
\n\tAct as key point of contact for customers, vendors and internal stakeholders
\n\tMonitor adherence to production requirements and logistics KPIs
\n\tMaintain and actively support ISO certification requirements
\n\tAnalyse logistics data and identify improvement opportunities
\n\tDevelop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures
\n\tLead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service levels and cost savings
\n\tConduct on-the-job training and develop team capability
\n\tEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and safety standards
\n\tInvestigate operational issues, implement corrective and preventative actions
\n\tManage resource allocation and review work methods to improve performance<\/p>\n
