\tClover is looking for a detail-orientated,results-driven, highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our Commercial\/Sales Finance department. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who is eager to take their career to the next step within a fast-paced and supportive environment. This role requires strong ownership of financial processes and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
\n\tThe successful individual will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial accounting, reporting, and compliance activities, supporting month-end close, management reporting, and statutory requirements.<\/p>\n
Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
\n\tRelevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level.
\n\tHand-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
\n\tBusiness English: Fluent.
\n\tSAIPA\/SAICA articles would be advantageous
\n\tComputer literacy (Advanced Excel skills).<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
Control and reconcile Driver accounts and cash.<\/p>\n
\tReconcile General Ledger in respect of Drivers\u2019 accounts.
\n\tReconcile all cash that flows through at branch i.e. deposit slip, cash receipts & bank statement.
\n\tFollow up on Driver journals done at branch with Branch Admin Manager\/Controller.<\/p>\n
Control payments- Stock and Commodities. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure every vendor invoice has a printed Clover PO number.
\n\tMarry all inventory PO’s with the correct stock GRN’s e.g. Red Bull, Clover Waters, Snaxworks etc.
\n\tEnsure that all invoices are accompanied by a corresponding authorised PO according to signatory Clover policy.<\/p>\n
Month-End Close & Accounting. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tReview and approve purchase orders and ensure accuracy against invoices, including correct GL allocation.
\n\tProcess monthly supplier payments, including operating and overhead costs.
\n\tUpload and allocate bank deposits and payments to the cashbook.
\n\tPrepare and post monthly journals, including:
\n\tVAT.
\n\tPrepayment.
\n\tAccruals and provisions.
\n\tIntercompany journals.
\n\tPerform general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
\n\tComplete balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal controls and accounting standards.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 Management Reporting & Analysis. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPrepare monthly variance analysis with clear explanations for management.
\n\tCompile monthly management reporting packs.
\n\tPerform profitability analysis to support business decision-making.
\n\tSupport pricing reviews and updates where required.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 Tax & Compliance. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tCalculate VAT and ensure timely payment.
\n\tPrepare VAT schedules and support statutory submissions.
\n\tEnsure compliance with internal financial controls and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
