Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tAnalysis, design, development, testing, documentation and delivery of new or revised functionality in accordance with the SDLC.
\n\tParticipation in upgrade projects (new releases or support packages).
\n\tMonitoring and analysis of system support calls\/requests and issue management.
\n\tRefinement of business systems solutions.
\n\tParticipating in implementation, system support, upgrades and rollout
\n\tTraining users how to use software effectively in their operations.
\n\tEngagement with stakeholders on systems, processes and business requirements
\n\tSupport project deliverables and milestones for multiple projects<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Core Requirements:<\/p>\n
\t3-year National Diploma or Degree in Information Systems\/ Computer Science, or related field.
\n\tMinimum two (2) years relevant experience in a business system development and support environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree \/ BTech (NQF level 7) in Information Systems or Computer Science
\n\tExperience in the public sector and\/or research administration processes.
\n\tHands-on configuration experience of package or ERP systems
\n\tConfiguration skills and experience in Converis, Pentaho, or Web Development.
\n\tHands-on SQL and\/or XML experience
\n\tFamiliarity with command line in Linux
\n\tA sound knowledge of data migration\/integration methods and tools
\n\tPrior experience on a portal or web-based system implementation
\n\tUnderstanding of object-oriented databases<\/p>\n
