Job Summary:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Health and Safety Manager. The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with industry regulations and standards
\n\tMaintaining the health and safety portals on various platforms (including but not limited to HSEC, Passport 360 and Cognibox)\u00a0
\n\tConducting regular risk assessments both at the employer’s premises and client sites
\n\tConduct regular inspections and audits of work areas to identify and correct potential hazards
\n\tCoordinate safety training programs for employees on topics such as proper equipment use, emergency procedures, and hazard identification
\n\tInvestigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop prevention strategies
\n\tMonitor and review workplace practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
\n\tMaintain records of safety training, incidents, and inspections
\n\tServe as the primary point of contact for all health and safety-related inquiries and concerns
\n\tEnsuring that all appointed health and safety representatives’ certifications are up to date
\n\tTravel to client sites when necessary
\n\tCompile health and safety files for various clients, projects and contractors<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or related field
\n\tSAMREC\/COMSOC\u00a0
\n\tMinimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in the weighing equipment industry
\n\tExperience working on web based safety portals (including but not limited to\u00a0HSEC, Passport 360 and Cognibox)
\n\tKnowledge of OHSA and MHSA regulations and industry standards
\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills
\n\tDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
\n\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team
\n\tAbility to work well in a fast-paced work environment
\n\tAbility to multitask and prioritise tasks<\/p>\n
