Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Construction Execution & Control<\/p>\n
\tEnsure safe construction execution aligned with MHSA, OHSA, NEMA, and client codes of practice.
\n\tManage all construction activities to achieve project scope, schedule, and quality deliverables.
\n\tEnforce document control to ensure all contractors work to the latest drawings and revisions<\/p>\n
Schedule Management<\/p>\n
\tApply strict schedule controls and monitor progress against baseline.
\n\tLead weekly progress meetings and communicate schedule impacts to the Project Manager.
\n\tMaintain accurate daily diaries documenting progress, events, delays, and interventions.<\/p>\n
Quality & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tImplement and enforce the project\u2019s quality management system.
\n\tEnsure all completed works meet engineering, client, and regulatory standards.
\n\tSupport behavioural-based safety and maintain zero-harm leadership.<\/p>\n
Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tIdentify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
\n\tEvaluate construction risks and escalate critical issues to the Project Manager.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder & Client Engagement<\/p>\n
\tBuild professional relationships with clients and represent GIBB Mining in all construction engagements.
\n\tCoordinate construction interfaces between engineers, designers, contractors, and the project team.<\/p>\n
Contract & Scope Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all work executed is within authorized scope and supported by contract documentation.
\n\tSupport change management processes and scope control procedures.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership<\/p>\n
\tSupervise, motivate, and develop site personnel.
\n\tMonitor punctuality, discipline, and performance of site staff.
\n\tResolve conflicts and manage disciplinary actions where needed.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma or Degree in Engineering
\n\tPMP (Preferred)
\n\tGCC Mines & Works (Advantageous)<\/p>\n
Knowledge & Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 10 years\u2019 experience in construction management within EPCM mining environments.
\n\tStrong knowledge of mining construction methods (shafts, bulk materials handling, geotechnical applications).<\/p>\n
Proficiency in:<\/p>\n

\n\tPrimavera P6
\n\tMS Word (Professional reporting)
\n\tSHEQ and regulatory compliance environments<\/p>\n
