What will you do?<\/p>\n
\tAssessment and independent decision making of complex living benefits e.g. severe illness, disability and sickness benefit claims.
\n\tEnsure that the client\u2019s claim request is met within the boundaries of the policy contract, which includes the\u00a0interpretation of contractual definitions.
\n\tLiaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Underwriters, Legal Department, Product Development, Medical Doctors,\u00a0Re-insurers) to resolve complex assessments.
\n\tPropose improvements to the assessment process.
\n\tWritten and verbal communication with clients, intermediaries, underwriters and doctors during the assessment\u00a0process and on outcome of the claim.
\n\tTaking full ownership for the communication of the outcome of the claim to the client and intermediary that\u00a0enables them to understand the decision and prevent complaints.
\n\tComplaints handling.\u00a0
\n\tContact person to VIP intermediaries for technical enquiries and their client\u2019s claims.<\/p>\n
What will make you successful in this role?<\/p>\n
Knowledge & Experience:<\/p>\n
\tExperience as an Occupational Therapist or clinical role in the medical field
\n\t3-5 years experience in the assessment of Living Benefit Claims or Risk claims or Retail claims is\u00a0recommended.
\n\tExperience in complaints handling
\n\tKnowledge of Risk Products and Benefits is recommended<\/p>\n

\tManages complexity
\n\tGood communication skills in English and Afrikaans (written and verbal)
\n\tWorking independently\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tDegree or Diploma with 3 to 5 years related experience.<\/p>\n
