is responsible for assessing property damage claims remotely using digital tools and documentation.<br \/>\n\tThe role involves evaluating damage, verifying cover, quantifying repair costs, and making recommendations for settlement\u2014all while providing exceptional customer service.<br \/>\n\tThe Advisor works closely with the Team Leader and supports the end-to-end claims process in line with company policies and regulatory standards.<\/p>\n<p>What will make you successful in this role?<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Claims Assessment and Processing<\/p>\n<p>\tEvaluate property damage claims via documentation (photos, contractor quotes, reports)<br \/>\n\tConfirm policy coverage, validate scope of loss, and assess the reasonableness of repair costs.<br \/>\n\tRaise queries with policyholders, brokers, or contractors where information is incomplete or inconsistent.<br \/>\n\tRecommend settlement values based on findings and policy terms.<\/p>\n<p>Customer Service<\/p>\n<p>\tCommunicate clearly with clients regarding claims decisions and progress.<br \/>\n\tMaintain a professional and empathetic approach during all interactions.<br \/>\n\tEnsure clients feel supported throughout the claims process.<\/p>\n<p>Compliance and Documentation<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure all claims processed comply with regulatory and internal standards.<br \/>\n\tMaintain clear, detailed notes and upload all required documents on the claims system.<\/p>\n<p>Collaboration<\/p>\n<p>\tEscalate complex or high-value claims to the Team Leader or Technical Assessor<br \/>\n\tLiaise with internal teams (e.g., Underwriting, Fraud, Legal) as required.<br \/>\n\tSupport the assessing team with administrative and technical tasks as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Key Deliverables\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tAchieve targets for claims turnaround time and quality score.<br \/>\n\tEnsure accurate, fair, and timely claim decisions.<br \/>\n\tMaintain high levels of customer satisfaction.<br \/>\n\tSupport reduction in claim leakage through detailed analysis and fair assessments<br \/>\n\tContribute to overall claims team performance and improvement success<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualification and Experience Required<\/p>\n<p>\tGrade 12\/Standard 10\/NQF 4<br \/>\n\tRelevant qualifications in building surveying, construction management, or insurance-related fields<br \/>\n\t1\u20132 years experience in insurance claims (preferably property\/building-related)<br \/>\n\tBasic knowledge of building materials, construction principles, or property assessments<br \/>\n\tExposure to digital claims handling platforms or document-based assessments<br \/>\n\tCustomer service experience in a call centre or insurance environment is
