A well-established student accommodation provider is seeking an experienced and operationally strong Head of Student Accommodation to take full responsibility for the performance and management of a large residential building.
\n\tThis role requires a commercially minded leader who can oversee daily operations, manage financial performance, drive occupancy, and ensure a structured, safe and well-managed student living environment.
\n\tYou will be responsible for overall building performance, team leadership, compliance, and ensuring the residence operates efficiently and profitably.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Property Management\/Business Management\/Facilities Management
\n\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in property, facilities, or residential operations management specific to student accommodation
\n\tProven leadership experience managing on-site teams
\n\tStrong financial management experience (budgets, cost control, revenue oversight)
\n\tExperience overseeing building compliance and health & safety standards
\n\tStrong administrative and reporting skills
\n\tComputer literate and experience working with MRI property management software or similar
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities:
\nOperations Management:<\/p>\n
\tOversee the full day-to-day management of the student residence.
\n\tManage occupancy levels, room allocations, and move-in\/move-out processes.
\n\tEnsure building maintenance standards and service delivery expectations are met.
\n\tOversee health, safety, and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n
Financial & Revenue Oversight:<\/p>\n
\tManage and control the building budget.
\n\tMonitor expenses, income, and profitability.
\n\tOversee rental collections and financial reporting.
\n\tIdentify and implement cost-saving and revenue-enhancing initiatives.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Performance Management:<\/p>\n
\tLead and manage the on-site operational team.
\n\tSet clear performance standards and monitor delivery.
\n\tAddress performance concerns and ensure accountability.
\n\tDrive a structured and disciplined working environment.<\/p>\n
Student Relations & Risk Management:<\/p>\n
\tManage escalated student queries and complaints.
\n\tMaintain a safe and professionally managed residence environment.
\n\tMitigate operational and compliance risks.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management:<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with internal leadership and external service providers.
\n\tEnsure service level agreements and operational standards are maintained.<\/p>\n
