PURPOSE:<\/p>\n
\tTo provide support on case management, legal service and other functions related to Investigations and Conflict Resolution Unit.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tAn appropriate LLB degree\/Bachelor degree in Law or an equivalent (NQF8) qualification.
\n\tA minimum of 4 years working experience in a similar field. Sound knowledge and understanding of Chapter 2 of the Constitution.
\n\tKnowledge of interpretation, application and limitation of the law. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Self-driven, enthusiastic and ability to priorities.
\n\tWillingness to travel. A Valid driver\u2019s licence is a pre-requisite.<\/p>\n
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:<\/p>\n
\tGood verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge and experience in conflict resolution mechanisms including mediation, arbitration and conciliation, constitutional law, administrative law and legislative drafting.
\n\tProject management skills, Good interpersonal skills, Good presentation and problem solving skills, Good record and time management skills, Ability to work under pressure, Negotiation skills.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n
\tConduct investigations and handle complaints on Cultural, Religious and Linguistic rights of communities.
\n\tProvision of legislative influence an synergy implementation.
\n\tRender legal services support and facilitate conflict resolution in the Commission and amongst C-R-L communities.
\n\tHandle project management and supervision of staff in the Unit. Implement stakeholder cooperation strategy and business plan of the Unit.<\/p>\n
