{"id":31295,"date":"2026-03-05T12:02:18","date_gmt":"2026-03-05T12:02:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/legal-officer\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T00:24:19","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T00:24:19","slug":"legal-officer","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=31295","title":{"rendered":"Legal Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>\tHandling and investigating complaints lodged by members of the public.<br \/>\n\tReferring matters to the Equality Court.<br \/>\n\tLitigating on behalf of complainants.<br \/>\n\tMonitoring the operations and functioning of Courts in the Province.<br \/>\n\tConducting mediation for the purposes of resolving disputes.<br \/>\n\tDrafting inputs with gender perspective to proposed legislation, regulations and prescripts concerning gender equality.<br \/>\n\tPreparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports.<br \/>\n\tForging good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tEnsuring implementation of the Annual Performance Plan.<br \/>\n\tReporting challenges regarding complaints handling to the Provincial Manager (PM) and to the HOD Legal.<br \/>\n\tPerform any other duties as may be requested from time to time by the PM or HOD Legal.<br \/>\n\tLiaise with the courts in matters referred by the CGE.<br \/>\n\tIdentify issues on systematic complaints in consultation with HOD Legal for purpose monitoring and litigation<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>\tMatric<br \/>\n\tB.
