The ARC-Animal Production (ARC-AP) seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced, and dynamic persons to the following positions at Glen, Free State province:<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/p>\n
Animal care<\/p>\n
\tAnimal handling.
\n\tFeeding cattle by hand.
\n\tCleaning feed wastage.
\n\tLoading and off-loading animals.
\n\tMonitor feed intake.<\/p>\n
Animal care facilities<\/p>\n
\tTo utilize and maintain facilities, apparatus and equipment in cost effective manner.
\n\tCleaning of kraals daily.
\n\tFilling kraals with gravel.
\n\tFixing of kraals.
\n\tCutting lawn, and solving water problems.
\n\tTimeous reporting of malfunctioning of gates water reticulation (checking, fixing, reporting) \u2013 General tasks.<\/p>\n
Weighing and Record keeping offeed and feed consumption<\/p>\n
\tControl over feed equipment, feed and feed recording.
\n\tCompliance to occupational health, and safety.
\n\tVisible use and compliance with health and safety standards.
\n\tDaily inspection of cattle and monitoring health status.
\n\tTreatment if required.<\/p>\n
Loading and offloading of animals<\/p>\n
\tOffloading of feed
\n\tSee that the feeding system is maintained<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 plus 3 years relevant experience or Grade 10 plus 5 years relevant experience or 15 years relevant experience.<\/p>\n
