Job Description<\/p>\n
\tIVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to \u00a0 develop this \u201cmine of the future\u201d.<\/p>\n
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tDiploma in Mine Surveying or equivalent.
\n\tAdvanced skills in the use of mine survey software
\n\tHave report writing and articulation of work skills
\n\tStatutory survey requirements
\n\tSurvey relevant legislation
\n\tHighly computer literate<\/p>\n
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:<\/p>\n
\t5 years\u2019 mine surveying experience, with experience in mine survey roles in underground mine surveying
\n\tAt least 2 years\u2019 experience on a fully mechanised underground operation.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:<\/p>\n
\tCapturing and compiling data in accordance with the required standards and facilitating the drafting of Mine Plans.
\n\tCompleting End of Month Surveys on site and assisting with the reporting requirements
\n\tMaintaining the site survey equipment in good working order and regularly updating software and firmware
\n\tMaintaining a high standard data control system
\n\tProviding field support for exploration, and other project-type activities
\n\tParticipates in \u201csafety talk\u201d sessions as assigned at the beginning of each working day
\n\tAdheres to the company HSE rules and procedures throughout the working day, and undertakes necessary maintenance remedial action in accordance with laid down company rules
\n\tReports any HSE incidents to relevant authorities immediately, and provides evidence of incidents witnessed, during investigations
\n\tCarries out housekeeping in area of responsibility to ensure a safe and secure work environment
\n\tImplements action items arising from HSE audits by taking corrective actions on identified deviations
\n\tEnforcement of Company Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure safe working environment<\/p>\n
