Duties & Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tAssist in running of circulation desk (issuing, renewal & returning book loans)
\n\tDaily handling of newspapers (including scanning and clippings)
\n\tDaily handling of journals
\n\tDaily shelving and shelf reading
\n\tCheck that all equipment (computers, printer, copier) is functional
\n\tAssist in updating of notice boards
\n\tAssist in preparing and mounting Information Centre displays
\n\tAssist students with using computers
\n\tConducts Information literacy workshops for students
\n\tHelp students with OPAC searches
\n\tAlways ensure that Information Centre is neat and professional
\n\tProvides clerical support to the Information Specialist e.g., photocopying handouts, helping during workshops, checking subject guides and database worksheets
\n\tIn addition to these typical duties, may perform other duties as assigned and required.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Library and Information Science<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 1-year working experience in a relevant field, preferably academic Information Centre<\/p>\n
