\tThe Executive Chef is responsible for all food production in the restaurant, conferences and banqueting, room service and any other food outlets. \u00a0This includes developing and costing menus, orders and recipe development, while maintaining the highest professional food quality and sanitation standards. \u00a0The position is primarily concerned with three main functional activities: \u00a0supervision, food production and administration. The Executive Chef will manage a team beneath him\/her.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMatric\u00a0
\n\tProfessional Qualification in Culinary Arts
\n\t3 \u2013 5 Years previous Executive Chef experience in a 4\/5 Start environment
\n\tAble to create and cost menus as well as recipes
\n\tHands on Problem Solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
\n\tCustomer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills
\n\tAbility to work as part of a team, as well as independently
\n\tEffective communication with members of staff as well as Guests of the Hotel
\n\tHonest and trustworthy beyond approach
\n\tGreat attention to detail
\n\tPresentable\/Professional appearance and well spoken
\n\tTeam Player who leads by example
\n\tProactive in approach
\n\tInterpersonal skills
\n\tLeadership skills and ability to delegate effectively
